Unafraid to tell the Truth
Our founder, Iain Buchan, started The Unlimited 30 years ago as a family business, with the purpose of shifting lives.
Because of this, we treat our customers like family, and as part of our family, we know you need to trust us completely. Like every business, there are things we do well that we’re incredibly proud of. And like every business, we’ve made our fair share of mistakes along the way, and we know there are things we need to get better at.
That's why we're committed to sharing everything that happens at The Unlimited with you – and we mean all of it! The good and the bad, in the most honest way possible.

Early debits… not right for everyone
December, or Dezemba, as it's often referred to by us South Africans, is a happy and fun time of the year when many enjoy the festive season with friends and family. It’s a time of celebration, travel and adventure, which makes keeping yourself and your loved ones safe and covered all the more important.
Our Transformational workshops
Our approach to business is definitely outside the norm and is sometimes viewed as unconventional. We are proudly different, and we realise this may not always sit well with people who prefer to play things far safer. We are okay with this. We make no excuses for our leadership program, which has produced over 1000 strong young leaders, many of whom today run their own successful businesses.
Doing the right thing!
As a company, we believe that businesses should do better, and that means admitting when we’ve made a mistake and doing the right thing to fix it. It’s part of our deep commitment to our customers we call family, to giving each of them real value and the high level of service they deserve.
21 Creators, 15 Directors and 1 Truly Unlimited Campaign
The Story of UN from The Unlimited is a bold brand campaign that unshackles old ways of being and unmutes new South African voices. It is a manifesto that calls upon people to unlimit their lives, not with ordinary pom-poms and a rah-rah corporate call, but through a co-lab of 21 collaborators who tell their own unlimited stories in the face of tragedy, stigma, bias, inequality and the daily grind of a “normal” routine.
