Early debits… not right for everyone

December, or Dezemba, as it's often referred to by us South Africans, is a happy and fun time of the year when many enjoy the festive season with friends and family. It’s a time of celebration, travel and adventure, which makes keeping yourself and your loved ones safe and covered all the more important.

For this reason, we’ve been deliberate each year to make sure our customers’ December debit orders are collected a little earlier than usual to give them peace of mind, knowing that they and their families are covered over this busy time.

Unhappy customers

In the past few days, we’ve had a number of customers contacting our customer care team to voice their unhappiness about their debit orders going off earlier than normal. Whilst our intentions have come from the best possible place, it’s been clear to us that the communications we sent out to our customers informing them of this, just weren’t good enough.

So, we’d like to take this moment to say how sorry we are to any of our customers who have been inconvenienced by the early debits. And equally, to thank those who took the time to talk to us, for your honest feedback. We’ll do better the next time because of it.
