On 11 and 12 April, when trying to implement positive changes for our customers – we made a blunder! The changes would enable customers to gift and roll over their data - making us compliant with the newly legislated ICASA regulations around data usage. After the implementation, multiple numbers of smses were inadvertently sent out telling customers that their data was expiring and they should roll it over. Unfortunately, this was an error and their data was not about to expire, however many customers rolled over their data unnecessarily. We would like to apologise to all our customers that were impacted by this fault and, as we always do, we’ll ensure they are in a better position than they were before.
