We love it when people take on a challenge that pushes beyond the accepted limits of human endurance.
That's why we got behind two South African extreme sports enthusiasts who made their way into the history books when they kitesurfed a gruelling 430km along the East Coast of Africa.
Zack Buchan and Ross Walters set out from Ponto do Ouro in Southern Mozambique on Monday, 13 August 2012, for an intense journey down to Durban. Kitesurfing for up to 8 hours at a stretch and covering up to 100 kilometres, the team took six days to complete their epic journey.
Definitely the most ambitious kitesufing journey off the African continent, The Unlimited Kitesurfing Expedition delivered its promise to be the ultimate fight between man and the elements.
