We’re looking for a customer-focused social media copywriter who has fresh ideas on how to engage with our community. Working with both our Customer Care and Marketing teams, you’ll pull out the stops to develop and deliver real-time social media responses that hit the spot. With your unrivalled savvy thinking and copywriting skills, you’ll bring the creativity and commercial know-how needed to get stuck in from day one and think up new ways to improve our online customer engagement.

Responsibilities (well some of them anyway!)

  • Working with our Customer Care team, provide excellent customer service for all aspects of online community management
  • Write all messages / responses for real-time community engagement
  • Deliver monthly reports with statistics and analytics for each platform
  • Identify behavioural and technical issues, patterns and trends in the community
  • Keep track of social media trends and competition
  • Work with the Marketing team to deliver timely, targeted, creative and effective online communications including content management
  • Measure the effectiveness of the online communications delivered; recommend and implement improvements

Candidate Profile

  • Matric essential and a relevant Degree/Diploma would be an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in social and content management in a highly charged large corporate
  • Instinct and aptitude for social media, with an unquenchable passion for the latest communications news and trends
  • Excellent customer service ability; use questions to easily explore customer concerns
  • Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
  • Awesome telephonic / public speaking skills
  • Ability to write in a way that delivers appropriate messaging on different platforms (posts, responses, blogs and online articles)
  • Initiative and creativity, teamed with a self-starter mentality
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • A knack for research
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to project manage and juggle multiple priorities
  • Energy and passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
