Purpose of the Role

To manage the strategic marketing and operational media requirements, as well as the campaign development for market share gains within the Inbound Direct Marketing Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement media strategy for the South African market
  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products through the electronic mediums
  • Conduct campaign and media research for inclusion in brand strategy
  • Manage television and radio production partners in respect of performance and relationships
  • Alignment of media strategy with group operational initiatives
  • Working closely with the Company’s Distribution, Customer and product teams enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate content, tools and materials
  • Develop and recommend product position in terms of media effectiveness to produce the highest possible long term market share
  • Work closely with product management team to define content, collateral and programs
  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand image throughout all campaigns and media events
  • Manage the interdependency between media strategy and social media presence In order to improve brand reputation and recognition
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the competitor environment
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
  • Represent the company at Industry Association events

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Marketing
  • Proven track record in Television and Radio production
  • At least 5 years in Media Strategy and Planning
  • Up to speed with current Marketing techniques and best practices
  • Customer-orientated approach and aptitude
